I train in Kali, but initially ordered the Serrada sticks since I have too many 28" rattans and my colleague brought in the Serrada's to work one day. I was very impressed, the Serrada's are of course shorter than the Kali's, but design wise feels like a 21" Serrada weight is almost equivalent to a 28" Kali. I was happy training with the Serrada's but kept thinking about how the Kali's would perform. So I ordered the Kali's and was very disappointed at first, they are heavy, much heavier than any 28" rattan, more on the order of maybe bahi or kamagong. Despite the heaviness, I couldn't keep them out of my mind, they look so good! So I kept them in my regimen, a few times a week at first, but after a few months they become addictive and I train with them all the time now. I feel like my aluminum training ginunting is like a feather compared to these sticks. The Serrada's are perfect for traveling when you want a solid pair of sticks to train while away from home, but the Kali's are in a league of their own, they are calling out to you to pick them up and train. Well done Budo Bro's, very well done.

I practice Kali but wanted sticks that I could carry in my backpack that also had some heft and these work perfectly. They'll fit in almost any backpack that can fit a 14" laptop and the weight is surprisingly good so that you feel like you're actually using what would be standard rattan 28" Kali sticks. Excellent job Budo Brothers, stay true!

Saw these when one of my class mates got them. Bought them and now three of us are using them. I have some expensive Cocobolo sticks I have been using and I don’t want to tear them up. These are very durable, they have a nice balance and weight to them. I am very pleased with these.

Following are my observations: When this stick hits a rattan there is a major shock wave that goes down the rattan into your hand. Could be disruptive to the rattan user. Also it will quickly shred a rattan. Food for thought. Hitting your arm with a rattan has that familiar pain, but hitting your arm with this stick demonstrates it would easily break bone. These sticks are only 21 inches, which would be a better choice for tighter spaces to be fighting, i.e., smaller room, hallway, entrance way, etc. Customary escrima sticks are 28". Longer the stick the better the reach, of course, but physical environment would dictate the better length. same with swords and knives, a knife will work better in a small space, and in a large space, the sword would be better for reach. I like the feel of these 21" ones. Shorter is also faster and the powerful impact is similar to a metal pipe, but much lighter to handle than metal.

Incredible is an understatement. So durable,powerful and insanely lightweight. They say it will shatter wooden/rattan or most training equipment but they work perfectly on my BOB Dummy and Judo/Jiujitsu dummy with arms and legs. Immediately buying the Phenolic Kali Sticks. These sticks are amazing to swing because they are weighted so much different then rattan sticks. You may have issues using them in stick to stick training because they wreck regular Kali sticks

These serrada sticks are next level, polished and pretty AF! I have been practicing for quite a while with bamboo and to switch over to phenolic is an experience and a half, though a bit heavier they are perfectly weighted and the feel is on point. This company is on point support them!

These Phenolic Serrada Sticks are amazing!! The material is of the upmost quality and the grip is great. These sticks absorb impact very well they are light and I would not want to be the person receiving the strike. These are definitely not sparring sticks these are perfect for self-practice and to use against an attacker, I still use my rattan sticks to practice with a partner as the Phenolic Serrada Sticks hurt if you hit your practice partner while practicing. They will not like you very much. Definitely a solid pair of sticks. To me they are worth the buy since I have not had or seen a pair like these ever.

These sticks are SO cool! When I heard how they were made with cloth I never imagined you’d be able to see the fibers, yet still have a lightweight, glass-smooth version of a lead pipe for whacking intruders or a training pell. They have very little vibration conduction unless you’re whacking something immobile like a telephone pole, otherwise these space-age sticks feel like something security guards on prison ships in deep orbit would use to corral the universes’ scurviest thugs; without causing undo wrist aggrivation.

I own both the Serrada sticks as well as the Escrima sticks. Both indestructible for the most part with a great feel in the hand. The rubber handles and the cases are super high quality that is typically not seen in martial arts equipment. I would definitely recommend. I bought the Serrada sticks for portability on trips but they are super fun to use. Definitely not sparring sticks though as they are heavy and solid enough to be actual weapons.

Alright, Folks! I'm going to tell you, these Phenolic Fabric Resin Serradas Truly are Bad@§§!! No Exaggeration! The weight, the balance, the durability are all top shelf! They're not too light, nor too heavy! I love the silicone handle sleeves! They give you a great grip! The case they come in is specially made for the Phenolic sticks as well. It's made of the same canvas and fabrics that the HoodGi is constructed of! I'm going to tell you right now, however. If you're going to drill and train with them, make sure your partner has some as well, or at least has something also as strong, otherwise you're just going to break his traditional rattan sticks!! ~Haha!! I intend to get the Phenolic Kali Sticks next! I'm also going to be getting multiple sets of all of these as time goes by!

These sticks make me feel like Nightwing from the Batman comics! My nocturnal vigilante runs have been steadily successful. Jk! The quality of the sticks are superb. They are not too light, not too heavy for me. The shorter length also makes it easier to store in a backpack or gym bag. The silicone handle sleeves give you a great grip. I was also surprised by the case it arrived in. It looks like the same material as the Hood Gi. This is a giant step up from the cheap nylon cases and brittle rattan sticks I'm used to purchasing. If you're an FMA practitioner or martial artist in general, these sticks are a must have. I might by a second pair in the future.

I bought the 21's and the shipping was super god dam quick ,These sticks are beautiful ... Infact I didn't even want to use them they looked so good but that changed once I started swinging them. The rubberized grip is just a fantastic touch. Good job guys keep pushing out training products like this your taking the lead so far. I just wish you didn't sell out of the 29's I would of bought those as well

These really are perfect in so many ways...easy to carry around...THOUGH I would like to see the carrying bag be a little more versatile....as in the shoulder strap really doesn't do the bag justice....what would it be like to make a leg strap at the bottom...have the top flap be more like a belt loop?

First off, the sticks are great. They look beautiful, feel very nice in use, balanced, and I love the diameter. You can feel the material density, but they don’t feel sluggish while in motion and during transitions.
Overall, they’ve exceeded my expectations, and I’ll be looking to acquire the longer versions when I can afford them.
My only suggestions, and this is only my preference, is to shorten the length of the rubberized grips, being short sticks. That said, I am accustomed to holding my sticks with approximately a two finger length at the butt end of the weapon, for optimal use of leverage, full range, and also short range techniques. So in my specific case the grip is slightly long.
The other thing, being a woodworker, is the finish at the ends of the sticks are a bit raw. I assume the sticks are turned on a lathe, the remaining slight tapered recess being from the lathe clamps? I would personally be inclined to surface the ends, then bevel the edges. But, that’s mostly an aesthetic issue. Though, in use, there is a subtle difference when using a stick that is more flat at the tip end.
Aside from these minor preferences, I think you guys have produced a unique, effective, and super useful product that professional martial artists can use without the worry of them failing. Great job, dudes!

As you can see I also picked up the Kali sticks. The serrada sticks are just as bada** and comes with the dopest carry bag. If you’re already training in Kali or any other stick-based martial art, you HAVE to get these. If you’re not, get them anyways and you WILL want to train.
