It's time for us to reveal all our secrets...

Over the years, we've learned SO MUCH about social media marketing and its power. These days, it can be the defining factor between success and failure in any endeavour.

Whether you're a school owner, an artist, an entrepreneur, or simply doing something extraordinary, social media can put you on the map and drastically expand your reach.

Recently, we were down in North Carolina filming a Coach Camp with Ryan Hoover and the Fit-to-Fight crew. We had an absolute blast learning from so many talented people.

 

One of their guest speakers was to give a talk on leveraging the power of social media. Unfortunately, he had to cancel at the last minute. 

We said, "We could fill in!" Despite not having anything prepared, Ryan took a chance on us and said, "Awesome! Go for it."

So we got up there and put on an entire session, during which we revealed all our secrets to expanding reach and growing on social media.

First, you have to start with value when it comes to social media.

 

 

Your content should be enjoyable to watch, enlightening, insightful, engaging, and satisfying to consume.

What are the viewers receiving from your content? What's the value? The value might take some time to figure out, but content creation will become much easier once you get clear on this.

You might think, "I don't have time for this," or "It's too much work." But what you might not realize is how vital content creation can be.

One thing is for sure: People do not do business with people they do not trust. When new prospects view your content and get to know what you're about, that builds trust. Content builds trust.

So if content builds trust, and trust is necessary for sales, then Content = Sales. It's math!

The key is to produce great content regularly. Consistency builds trust with every post, but it can't be garbage content that's not enjoyable to watch or a waste of time.

In our experience, your videos should fall into at least one of three value buckets. They must either Educate, Entertain, or Inspire... If you hit all three, the likelihood of your video going viral dramatically increases.

Now, it's time to develop a business strategy you can implement. Again, this strategy will work for any business or hobby—it's not just for school owners.

Here's an example: Let's say a potential student falls in love with your teaching style and watches every video you make to the very end.

It also turns out that this prospective student lives about 10 miles away from you but doesn't realize your school is in the neighborhood.

As a superfan, they already trust your content and teaching style. The organic content you've posted over the years has built this rapport. 

Now we get into the Organic Vs. Paid content.

Organic content is content you post regularly. The strategy is to pick the top-performing content and turn it into an advertisement.

You can leverage what's called a "Pixel." You can tell these social media platforms, like Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube, to send a piece of content to people within a 20-mile radius with a call to action after your video.

"Hey! Thanks for watching. If you enjoyed this lesson, be sure to come in for a free week of training. We're located at ____. Click this link to register. See you soon!"

You'd be shocked at how well this strategy performs. The best part is that it can be applied to anything you are trying to promote (your art, your products, your social cause, you name it!)
